Sale on Annuals and see the new garden tools

Blooming Notes

Hi Everyone: Thank you for the great spring season! We are in the process of reducing our annual inventory to bring in the new Fall Mums and more exciting plants to add to your landscape.

BUY 3 annuals and get the 4th one free. choose from 6 packs to 4.5 inch Proven Winners. Healthy plants like you’ve come to expect –
ready to grace your home and garden.

Help us make room for the new Mums (U of M developed Hardy!) and so many more plants. Perennials and succulents to add to your home and gardens.

Bring in your landscape plans and sketches. Always free consultation and layout available. Perennials, Shrubs and Trees are available at Garden Expressions.

A couple notes and reminders: Please remember to fertilize your annuals with a bloom booster type fertilizer once a week but at least 2 times a month(minimum). Bloom booster fertilizer is the water soluble type or any type that would have a higher middle number such as 10-30-20. Fertilizers (organic or not) are all listed with an analysis of N-P-K. N (nitrogen)is for green and leafy growth. P (phosphorus) is for blooms and fruit. K (potassium) is for roots and establishment of plants. Now, that’s about as much chemistry as I can handle. If you need it, we have some bagged from the bulk fertilizer we use for sale. Please be cautious of over watering with fertilizer high in P- it will promote algae growth on lakes and bodies of water.

Pansies feeling the heat? Trim back the dead blooms and if they are real leggy, cut them back to promote new growth at the bottom couple inches or so. They will be happy to bloom heavily again for you through the frost.

Stop in and check out the new permanent blooms (silk) and garden tools.

We have the best gloves (Atlas- Nitrile Touch) in stock and in your size!

The tools from Garden Works, Weed Reacher, Ken Ho and Potting Scoops, all designed to make your garden time even more pleasurable. Copper Rain Chains – slow the rain to your rain barrel or to your landscape- beautiful and useful. Almost eight feet of copper lily cups to slow the rain water from the downspot. Bird Baths, Bird houses and feeders, Rain gauges (not the glass globe one yet – still back ordered!) though lovely angels and birds to count the drops.

Looking for participants to sell vegetables and more at a Farmer’s Market at the gardens on Fridays beginning in July. Please call Jonna 246-0257.

Looking for somebody to plant your urns next year? Consider us. We will have new urns available or be able to pick up, store and replant your existing urns when the season is cold. Let us quote you prices for the urns replanted and or delivered to the site for you Memorial Day 2010.
